An internal promotion has created a great opportunity for a Digital Marketing Manager to join a globally recognised and prestigious company. Up to 45k pa + bonus, 9am – 5pm Mon to Fri (split between Basingstoke, London/home working), 25 days holiday, free parking and an abundance of great employee benefits including discounts on their products!

As the Digital Marketing Manager you’ll be responsible for developing, implementing and managing commercially effective, brand enhancing, creative and engaging marketing campaigns within the digital space for all our client’s products and services.

As the Digital Marketing Manager you will:

  • Lead the development of the digital marketing strategy based on business priorities, brand strategy and customer targeting, ensuring that the core brand values and messages are relayed to the customer accurately across all channels
  • Manage and become the expert in email and CRM Marketing platform, overseeing all automations and targeting, ensuring that technology is being used to its full capabilities and continuous innovation of CRM strategies is undertaken
  • Design, develop and lead the execution of the Email Marketing strategy (including planning, reporting, effective testing and innovation) and manage email marketing campaigns that drive customers to the website and other sales channels
  • Develop digital acquisition plans (using PPC, Paid Social, Affiliates, referral programmes etc) to attract and drive customers to the company’s digital channels and platforms
  • Drive the social strategy for the Company, providing the vision and guidance for the Social Media agency to manage the Company’s channels and create engaging content that tells the Brand story
  • Manage multiple agencies across Email, Social, Performance Media and Referral agencies, providing clear direction on key business and brand objectives and ensuring they deliver on time and on budget, but also getting the best out of these relationships
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, assessing these against target ROI and KPIs whilst providing continual feedback to senior stakeholders
  • Manage the Digital marketing budget
  • Work closely with the wider marketing, content and design teams to co-ordinate campaigns against the Marketing calendar
  • Ensure that digital marketing plans are joined up with other communication channels and work alongside other marketing activities instore and online
  • Work closely with the E-Commerce team to design and implement excellent customer journeys and ensure campaigns are appropriately reflected on-site
  • Work closely with the Content team to design and implement engaging content to maximise web traffic, build brand awareness and drive new acquisition
  • Work closely with the Insight team to develop data-driven CRM campaigns that improve acquisition, conversion and retention goals
  • Manage and mentor the Marketing Executive, who will support on the day-to-day execution of campaigns across all digital channels
  • Implement digital aspects of strategic brand partnerships and look for relevant partners to help expand the digital footprint
  • Be a champion amongst the marketing team for GDPR compliance & Customer preferences
  • Be the go-to for all things digital marketing and keep abreast of industry trends

Skills and Experience:

  • Solid experience in a similar digital marketing role on client side or agency ideally with B2B and B2C experience
  • Excellent working knowledge of the current digital environment and trends, with a sound understanding of best practice for each channel
  • Track record of delivering and executing digital marketing campaigns that meet brand and commercial objectives
  • Proven Email Marketing experience, having spent time managing CRM strategy and campaign management – ideally with working experience of email marketing softwares
  • Strong grasp of customer segmentation and techniques to cost-effectively drive customers through the acquisition, conversion, retention funnel
  • Excellent understanding and experience of managing Social Media (Paid and Organic), PPC and other paid digital media
  • Experience of Google Analytics, reporting on conversion and return on investment
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret raw data in order to manage budgets, optimise spend and identify opportunities across key performance channels
  • Experience of project management and people management, with an ability to motivate a team and bring people together to achieve a common goal
  • Ability to think differently, challenge assumptions and bring a fresh approach
  • Highly organised, with creative flair and excellent attention to detail
  • Strong intuition on how brands translate into a digital space, and how design and copy effectively come together to communicate key messages in an engaging and intelligent way
  • Excellent communication skills influencing colleagues at all levels as well as cross functional teams and external agencies
  • Ability to collaborate with, inspire and motivate other colleagues internally, both within the wider marketing team and across all practice areas.
    Experience managing third parties, ensuring they deliver on time and to budget
  • Excellent organisational skills, the ability to multi-task, prioritise and problem solve – as well as identify and implement the best processes for the wider team to work to
  • Proactive and enthusiastic approach, being ready to get stuck in and pick things up quickly
  • Willingness to work in a flexible manner, sometimes out of usual offices hours to support events or achieving deadlines
  • Digital marketing qualifications preferred, but not essential

  • 22 days annual leave + 3 day shutdown between Christmas and New Year + Bank Holidays
  • Hours 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday (sometimes working out of hours to support events or deadlines)
  • Based in Basingstoke at least 3 days per week with flexibility to work from London office or home the other 1-2 days
