International manufacturing company in Andover requires a Supply Chain Planner. Up to c.26k pa, Andover, 9am- 5pm, 25 days annual leave per year, free parking, staff discount on products.

As the Supply Chain Planner you will:

  • Support the implementation of processes and procedures to optimise stock holding, whilst maintaining a cost down approach to improving supplier performance
  • Work proactively with our sourcing team and China office to support the development and implementation of cost effective and integrated SCM solutions, focusing on the establishment of long term mutually beneficial supply chain partnerships across the supply chain network
  • Support SIOP and demand management objectives, highlighting and communicating to the relevant areas of the business the impact of change, which may conflict with the ability to balance supply and demand
  • Support the development and maintenance of partnerships with key customer supply teams. Focusing on the exchange and distribution of accurate information both internally and externally to support COTIF targets, whilst achieving stock management objectives
  • Work proactively with all relevant parties to ensure that new products are brought to market on time, to agreed standards and within cost
  • Assist with the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that end of life products are phased out of the business with minimal loss of profit
  • Support SCM policies and procedures in the management of Direct Import processes and control of 3PL Warehouses ensuring that key customer and supplier deadlines are strictly adhered to and system interfaces effectively managed
  • Support the Supply Chain Manager in implementing and maintaining procedures and processes and system based solutions necessary to drive continual improvement within the SCM network focusing on key KPI objectives in the critical areas of stock management, demand planning, vendor management, service to customers and people performance

To succeed as the Supply Chain Planner you will need:

  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems with a background in stock and supply chain management is highly desirable
  • Demonstrable ability to focus on maintaining and managing key supply chain management processes and procedures whilst working in a pressurised supply chain environment
  • Cost and commercially focused and with the ability to react to changes in demand
  • Highly proficient IT skills, including Advanced Excel
  • Strong communication skills, capable of liaising at all levels within the organisation as well as with external stakeholders, with a demonstrable ability to offer solutions
  • Disciplined nature with a positive “can do” attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and support the achievement of departmental and company KPIs
  • Team player capable of contributing to and implementing new ways of working with a flexible approach to managing change
  • Sound record of academic achievement preferably educated to degree level in a related field
