Sales Operations Analyst

Sales Operations Analyst. Up to c.37k pa, great benefits package, private medical insurance, 26 days annual leave plus opportunity to buy/sell holiday, free parking and near to train station.

As the Sales Operations Analyst, you'll be supporting the management of key sales processes, monitoring and reporting on sales performance in the short, medium and long term. This is a pivotal role in identifying better and more efficient ways of working.

As the Sales Operations Analyst you will be:

* Tracking sales and commercial opportunities to feed into the monthly sales and production planning process
* Driving the sales team to ensure the sales opportunity database is current at all times
* Driving efficiencies within the sales operations process to ensure that information and data is available in a consistent and clear format
* Working with Finance and the Global Director of Sales to ensure the integrity of sales data used in the board reports
* Producing a monthly report that summarises the current status of sales opportunities
* Be the voice of the Global Director of Sales at board meetings, planning meetings etc
* Responsible for ensuring the Voice of the Customer is delivered to the wider business
* Responsible for the collecting and collating of market intelligence (market/ customer/ competitor) to inform strategy and positioning and assess potentially profitable business development opportunities
* Based on market insight and sales opportunities, contribute to identifying new products / services that have strong commercial potential to grow future revenues and profitability
* Using market segmentation to help focus the business and develop appropriate sales, product plans and tools
* Working with the Marketing Manager, develop the content of the portfolio of communications materials - develop messaging to differentiate products in the market and associated product marketing programmes
* Ensuring the sales team are effectively skilled and knowledgeable about product features, benefits and commercials through close working relationships and training as required

As the Sales Operations Analyst you will need:

* An understanding of sales processes, data analysis and general principles of finance
* Proven ability to identify Customer needs that can be developed into a compelling and differentiated value proposition
* The ability to operate and be comfortable at all levels of seniority
* Needs to be prepared to travel if necessary
* Numeracy and IT skills (Excel, Powerpoint etc.)
* Product management or product marketing experience would be advantageous, ideally from physical product not service based industries
* The ability to think on your feet and to assimilate sales and financial data to produce coherent board-level reports
* Strong interpersonal and influencing skills when working with stakeholders
* Exceptional levels of attention to detail
* The desire to understand the wider business and engage in solving challenges with a genuine passion for helping to drive improvements in processes
