Business Analyst

Our client, based in Hook is offering this exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst. Up to 42kpa, 21 days holiday and free parking!

As the Business Systems Analyst you will be responsible for the Senior Planner, covering the scheduling and coordinating of products from sales through manufacturing to completion, ensuring maximum performance and minimum delay.

As an Business Analyst you will be responsible for:

•Working alongside the Head of Procurement & Planning to review existing processes in relation to the MRP/ERP system and prepare a business case for a suitable alternative
•Managing the interpretation of the Sales order forecast to provide procurement with a supplier forecast and review agreed product lead times periodically
•Engaging in improving processes, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure a streamlined approach is adapted
•Managing and lead the Planning Department, take responsibility for the accurate planning of requirements of the business to complete sales orders on time and in full, ensuring your team maintain close relationships with relevant departments, meeting business KPI’s
•Continuously improve the efficiency of planning operations, working closely with the Procurement team to strive for best practice
•Own the Perpetual Inventory processes and the reporting

You will need the below to succeed as the Business Analyst:

•Ideally having been involved in implementing an MRP/ERP system
•A team player with the ability to work effectively across departments engaging key stakeholders
•Good understanding of operational processes and the ability to translate department requirements into a suitable ERP system
•Strong knowledge of production scheduling and planning systems using ERP/MRP processes
•Excellent Excel skills, expert in collating data and ability to present data
•Have a high level of initiative and ability to work independently
•Excellent organisational and time management skills

Senior Buyer needed - 30-36k pa, free parking and FREE LUNCHES every day! Based on the outskirts of Hook, this position would suit an organised, confident individual with a can-do attitude and used to working in a busy environment.

As the Senior Buyer you will enjoy:

As the Senior Buyer you will:

• Build and develop relationships with key suppliers and work on ways to improve their on-time-delivery whilst reducing their lead-times and quality non-conformances
• Identify, research and introduce new suppliers as required across product range, using the agreed ‘on boarding’ process and reduce the supply base based on strategic decisions to gain leverage
• Gain a good understanding of the manufacturing processes of key suppliers to actively encourage process improvements
• Participate in the development and implementation of purchasing strategies for our products - implement call-off orders, agree pricing breaks and supplier stock holding
• Liaise with the appropriate department managers to identify, separate and control non-conforming materials, including supporting documentation for returns procedures
• Instigate corrective actions with suppliers and review to ensure they have been closed out
• Gain a good knowledge of commodities and how this potentially affects supply
• Conduct audits, monthly supplier reviews and complete, evaluate and manage Vendor scorecards for key suppliers
• Manage supplier vulnerability, reporting risks and establish mitigation where appropriate
• Evaluate requests for quotes and decide appropriate supplier selection
• Work closely and communicate clearly with appropriate department managers in purchasing for, and maintaining the production plan - emphasis on the on-time-delivery to planned dates
• Ensure stock levels are efficiently maintained in line with stock guidelines, MRP, production, customer delivery programmes and forecasted planned requirements.
• Actively seek to improve processes, working with relevant stakeholders

To succeed as the Senior Buyer you will need:

• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to manage suppliers to establish sound replenishment methods
• Sound knowledge and understanding of procurement practices within a low volume high variance manufacturing environment
• Experience of Sage 200 would be beneficial but is not essential
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft office
• Must be conscientious and well organised with the ability to adapt to changes
• Good interpersonal and team working skills, with a ‘can do’ attitude
• An ability to build strong commercial relationships with suppliers
• Awareness of procurement best practice and continuous improvement principles
