Compliance & Quality Officer

Our client is looking for a Compliance & Quality Officer to join their successful team on the outskirts of Alton. 26-29k pa + 10% bonus based on company sales, promotional opportunities, on-site parking and wellness programme!

As a Compliance and Quality Officer you will work closely with the Operations Manager and other stakeholders to ensure the business remains compliant and stay abreast of industry changes and certification.

As the Compliance & Quality Officer you will enjoy:

• 26-29k pa (depending on experience)
• 7:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday

As the Compliance & Quality Officer you will be responsible for:

• The implementation of industry regulated safe operational systems and procedures
• Managing risks and risk assessment at work
• Monitoring of safe working practices to ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation
• Prepare health and safety strategies and develop internal policy
• Work closely with Maintenance to ensure equipment is installed safety, tools/equipment are calibrated/inspected Inspection and regular cleaning, and maintenance routines are adhered to
• Production and management of documents to ISO 9001 standard and proactively support the business compliance to RISQS
• Attend Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) seminars as appropriate
• Design, implementation and updating of the Company health and safety systems and procedures
• Organise and support Health and Safety meetings
• Accompany external inspectors when carrying out inspection visits on-site

To succeed as the Compliance & Quality Officer you will need:

• Proven experience in a similar role
• Relevant qualifications
• Excellent coaching and communication skills
• Broad knowledge of production planning processes
• Strategic planning skills
• Comfortable working in a full-scale manufacturing environment
• Able to deal with complex issues in a fast-paced setting
• Confident in communicating at all levels

As the Production Controller you will be responsible for:

• Planning and evaluating the production workload and schedules to achieve company goals
• Coordinating factory processes so that component parts are available at all workstations
• Monitoring production throughout the day adjusting labour requirements in line with LEAN principals, assigning colleagues to pinch points as required
• Monitoring production boards to ensure they are in use and the team are aware of their daily targets
• Equipment/material issues must be flagged to the Maintenance Coordinator without delay to maintain seamless output
• Engagement with goods out and logistics planner to anticipate completion timescales and vehicle planning


To succeed as the Production Controller you will need:

• Ideally previous supervisory experience
• Excellent coaching and communication skills
• Ability to track expenses and compile budget reports
• Broad knowledge of production planning processes
• Strategic planning skills
• Comfortable working in a full-scale manufacturing environment
• Understanding of machine controls and instrumentation
• Able to deal with complex issues in a fast-paced setting

Customer Service Representative

Fast paced, growing company requires a Customer Service Representative! 22-25k pa with 25 days holiday and parking on-site!

As a Customer Service Representative working for this busy manufacturing company being responsible for ensuring customer orders are accurately entered and delivery requirements are met. This is a really varied role and you'll be handling end to end customer queries from enquiry and order right through to payment.

As the Customer Services Representative you'll benefit from:

As the Customer Service Representative you will be:

• Accurately entering customer orders onto the database
• Accurate contract review
• Producing accurate, professional quotations including all additional charges
• Producing proformas
• Dealing efficiently with telephone orders and enquiries
• Filing transactions in an efficient, orderly system
• Liaising with internal and external suppliers regarding availability of products
• Providing customers with technical and MSDS information
• Liaising with warehouse/production staff regarding picking/mixing priorities
• Liaising with own transport and third-party carriers to ensure customer delivery expectations are met
• Liaising with customers regarding delivery expectations
• Filing customer orders, despatch notes and proof of deliveries

As the Customer Service Representative you will have:

• Previous employment in customer services or similar environment would be desirable
• Must be able to drive due rural area
• Excellent keyboard skills and proficient in Word and Excel
• An approachable and professional telephone manner
• Accurate typing skills and excellent grammatical skills when writing emails
• Language skills are an advantage
• Ability to work under pressure and able to cope with constantly changing priorities
• A can-do attitude and a good sense of humour!
