IT Systems Support Engineer

£26000 - £32000 per annum
IT Systems Support Engineer required. Must be willing to grow with the role and have the initiative and aptitude to problem solve! Up to 32k pa, 22 days holiday increasing with loyal service, a lovely company, free parking and a 4pm finish on Fridays!

As the IT Systems Support Engineer you will be

• Undertaking the general day to day running of the IT infrastructure within the company, supporting users (approx 70) and leading the IT element of process/business improvement projects
• Maintain, support and upgrade the IT environment in partnership with 3rd party vendors/IT service providers
• Diagnose and resolve IT system and infrastructure issues and implement IT changes
• Provide general day to day IT support for PC/Windows users
• Set up new computers, installing and configuring the required software
• Take full responsibility for the IT element of any process or business improvement projects, coordinating with the head office in Italy and 3rd party vendors where appropriate
• Playing a key role in the company's plan to move to SAP in 2020
• Lead the company’s transformation to a paperless environment

To succeed as the IT Systems Support Engineer you will need:

• Previous experience within a similar role is essential
• VMware, Windows Server, Network Technology, ICP/IP, Firewalls and routing is desirable but not essential
• Experience of ERP systems in general and SAP in particular would be a distinct advantage
• Natural aptitude to solve problems before asking others
• Good communicator and a team player
• Willingness to take on more responsibility over time

Designer / Project Manager

Designer/Project Manager required on a permanent basis. Up to 29k pa + attractive commission package, private healthcare, free parking, rural location near Hook. Please note that you must be a driver due to location.

Our client is a well-established timber frame manufacturer of high quality frames, trussed rafters and engineered joists. They are now looking for a Designer/Project Manager to join their team and work on varied and interesting bespoke projects (mainly residential) for a quality fast-track building system.

As the Designer/Project Manager you will be:

• Gathering new customers from enquiries
• Estimating and quoting for projects
• Designing project work either won by yourself or secured centrally in the department:
- Using Autodesk Revit with a 3rd party plug-in: Horizon from Wolf Systems
- Taking a design from customers’ concept drawings, through Approval sets, to Construction Issue
- Liaising with client or their design team, and with our 3rd party Engineers
• Issuing manufacture drawings and material-picking schedules to on-site frame fabricators and off-site steel fabricators
• Administering production data, work values and dates for deliveries
• Issuing installation drawings to site installers
• Managing the installation of the project and liaising with erectors
• Managing the technical handover

To succeed as the Designer/Project Manager you will have:

• Experience within a system-build environment (e.g. timber frame, SIPS, light gauge steel, light steel frame, modular buildings etc)
• A good understanding of the issues involved in working in the offsite construction industry and also within the manufacturing process
• Excellent relationship building skills, both with your colleagues and your clients
• The ability to understand the needs of your clients, who may require considerable support from someone with your knowledge and experience
• Experience of timber frame design
• Experience using Revit (desirable)
