Parts Administration Assistant

£19000 - £20000 per annum
Parts Administration Assistant required for friendly small company in Newbury. 19 - 20k pa, 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), 37.5 hours a week and free parking.

As the Parts Administration Assistant you will be first point of contact for all queries and orders from potential and current customers and will report in to the Parts Department Manager. Working within a small team, in a fast paced environment, you'll quickly learn about our client's products - full product training will be given.

As the Parts Administration Assistant you will be:

• 40% handling telephone queries and 60% processing orders
• Handle orders and queries received via telephone, email, or in person from both new and existing customers with the view to increasing business.
• Respond professionally, quickly and accurately to all enquiries and orders.
• Turn enquiries into orders.
• Research through manuals and diagrams to assist with customer queries.
• Data entry its Excel and bespoke database.
• When receptionist absent be available to answer external calls for other departments.

To succeed as the Parts Administration Assistant you will need:

• A professional and patient approach to customer service through excellent telephone and written communication
• Good numeracy skills
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Ability to create, build and establish relationships through rapport.
• Previous experience in handling sales enquiries and new business.
• A good understanding of Word, Excel & PowerPoint and confidence to learn a bespoke internal computer system quickly.
• A good understanding of using internet, email and web catalogues.
• Able to work under pressure during the busier periods and handle interruptions during high level of telephone calls.
• Organised with ability to multi-task.
• Previous experience and understanding of studying parts diagrams to identify required items will be a great benefit.
• A previous engineering background could be helpful.
• A positive can do attitude.
