Our client needs a Purchasing Assistant! Enjoy working in beautiful countryside just outside Hook and within a team of motivated and passionate individuals!

As a Purchasing Assistant within this market leading engineering company, your role will be to assist the Buyers with placing orders and monitoring on a daily basis.

As the Purchasing Assistant you will enjoy the following:

• A salary of between 22-26k pa based on experience
• Hours: 8.30am - 5.30pm (1 hour for lunch)
• 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
• On-site parking
• Work within an ambitious, driven and motivated team
• Office is set in beautiful countryside just outside of Hook, however this means that you MUST have your own transport due to the location

As the Purchasing assistant your responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring on a daily basis the current product range
• Assisting the Buyers with placing orders with suppliers
• Helping to ensure adequate stock cover and chasing up deliveries
• Booking inbound deliveries with Suppliers
• Ensuring due dates for deliveries are updated
• General admin and ordering tasks

To succeed as a Purchasing Assistant you will have:

• A high proficiency in Excel – preferably to Intermediate standard
• A purchasing qualification would be advantageous
• Confident phone manner is essential

• Updating inventory and managing stock levels
• Arranging transport of goods and tracking orders to ensure timely delivery
• Understanding the target market and analysing trends in order to make informed buying decisions
• Coordinating with inventory team, management and warehouse (Goods In)
• Monitoring the stock quality and escalating any discrepancies to suppliers and management

To succeed as the Buyer you will have:

• Previous experience of International Procurement and Supply Chain processes
• Experience working in a high SKU, Volume/Value buying environment
• Commercial acumen and an understanding of marginal profit
• Strong decision making ability
• Ability to work well in a team
• A high proficiency using Excel and Word
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate effectively for the best outcome for the company
• Purchasing Qualification (CIPS) or similar (highly desirable)

Ecommerce Administrator

In a nutshell, you'll be assisting with data entry and the creation of product listings for websites, administering the e-commerce product data build process from start to finish, prepping the details for e-commerce use, adding in product content, taking product images and populating finished products across multiple websites. This is a great opportunity for a recent marketing (or similar) graduate or someone who can demonstrate their passion for marketing.

To succeed as the Marketing Executive you will have:

• Previous experience of website-focused e-commerce as well as a thorough working knowledge of database management
• Expert in your use of email marketing platforms and understanding how best to optimise email campaigns
• Excellent written communication and copywriting skills
• Experience of planning, managing and implementing digital marketing projects from inception to completion
• Experience using Google Analytics
• A high proficiency using MS Excel/BI/Access or similar
